THE ROAD TO SFAC

My Life's Journey

What began as a commitment to achievement has grown into a lifelong bond of brotherhood, service, and leadership. From my first steps as a young member to my current role helping lead the South Fulton (GA) Alumni Chapter, Kappa Alpha Psi has shaped my purpose and passion. This is more than a story—it's a journey grounded in the fraternity’s Five Objectives and the drive to uplift our community.

Delmar At A Glance

Why am I seeking the role of Polemarch of the South Fulton (GA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

I humbly seek your support as I run for re-election as Polemarch of our esteemed chapter. As this chapter's primary charter petitioner and organizer, I have been deeply committed to ensuring that our vision remains steadfast and aligned with the Five Objectives of Kappa Alpha Psi. These objectives are the foundation upon which our fraternity was built, and they continue to guide us as we strive for excellence in all we do.

The Five Objectives of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., reimagined for our chapter’s mission, are as follows:

  • Unite college men: To bring together men who share a commitment to culture, patriotism, and honor.
  • Encourage achievement: To inspire members to excel in every field of human endeavor.
  • Promote welfare: To enhance the spiritual, social, intellectual, and moral well-being of our members.
  • Support colleges and universities: To aid educational institutions in achieving their goals and purposes.
  • Inspire service: To motivate members to serve the public interest with integrity and dedication.

These principles are not just words but a call to action—a reminder of what our founders envisioned for us as a brotherhood. They reflect the unity and camaraderie that make the South Fulton Alumni Chapter a beacon for brothers seeking fellowship and purpose. Yet, I believe this unity is now at risk.

Brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi face countless challenges in their daily lives—stress at work, family obligations, and societal pressures. Our fraternity must serve as a sanctuary where brothers feel uplifted, valued, and supported. It should never become a source of division or negativity. Instead, it must remain true to its purpose: fostering an environment where every brother feels accepted as part of this illustrious chapter.

This sentiment is echoed in the Acceptable Qualities of Kappa Alpha Psi Members, which call for:

  • The disposition to live in close companionship with men of shared values.
  • The wisdom to abide by the will of the majority without compromising individuality.
  • The discretion to avoid destructive criticism while addressing its root causes.
  • The acceptance of responsibility for efforts that advance the group.
  • The desire to strive for excellence in all endeavors.
  • The commitment to train for leadership and give lifelong financial support to the fraternity’s programs.

As Polemarch, I will work tirelessly to ensure that these qualities are upheld within our chapter and that we continue to embody the vision that inspired our chartering. However, I cannot do this alone. Brothers, I need your support—not just in re-electing me as your leader but in joining me as we advance the vision of the South Fulton Alumni Chapter together.

Let us root out anything that threatens our unity or detracts from our mission. Let us recommit ourselves to fostering an atmosphere where every brother feels empowered to achieve greatness while contributing meaningfully to our collective success.

Together, we can ensure that this chapter remains a shining example of what Kappa Alpha Psi represents: Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor.
